Over the last 10 days, we have welcomed a group of 16 students and 2 teachers from Lycée Notre Dame de Rezé in Nantes, France. They have been staying with host families and have been immersed in the language and culture of Australia during this time. They have experienced a sausage sizzle, Timtams, Vegemite and all sorts of Aussie foods. The students have been to Taronga Zoo and on a city sightseeing trip during their stay and have really integrated well into the Australian way of life. Some of the most useful phrases the students have learned from their buddies are ‘no worries’ and ‘hey mate’. We are looking forward to visiting their school in France next year in September. This has been a rewarding and beneficial exchange for all involved.
