Year 12 Science Extension
General News
Much to the delight of their peers, Year 12 Science Extension students spent their lunch time serving up Krispy Kreme donuts and information about their HSC Research Projects in an effort to both raise awareness and funds for their work. Their teacher and Head of Science, Jo Mendoza was impressed with their ingenuity, problem solving skills and desire to pitch in together as a team, “Some students had identified research that was going to be very expensive that did not fit within the allocated budget, so they worked together as a class to come up with a way to raise the money themselves so that everyone could do the research they felt passionate about. Fundraising and awareness raising are actually a significant part of a career in science research, so it has been a great learning experience for them”.
