March 14 marks the annual celebration of Pi Day. Celebrating Pi Day has become a tradition at the College and is an opportunity for all students, not just our Maths enthusiasts, to see the fun in Maths. This year our Maths Faculty organised a pop-up pizza stall with over 200 pizzas sold to hungry Secondary students, all in the name of Mathematics!

At its simplest, Pi is the measurement around the circle, divided by the measurement across the circle. The idea that something so simple should unfold in to something that is unknowable is baffling.
