This week our Year 10 students participated in their ‘Back Off’ Incursions. For our Year 10 girls, Back Off is a total self-protection programme with a difference. During the incursion, the girls learnt to develop the ability to control the way they think in pressure settings, understand how an offender thinks in situations and to know the importance of always having a strategy. Our Year 10 boys’ incursion was designed specifically to address issues confronting young men in the new millennium and covered three key elements – taking responsibility for yourself and your actions, life is all about choice and the importance of respect and self-discipline. Both very enlightening sessions that captivated and engaged our students.
